I know for many of us, winter is not at the top of the list of things you crush on–I get that–but today was a fantastic winter day. Sunshine, light wind and temps seasonably mild–mid 40s. I’ll take it. Speaking to that sunshine, are you noticing days getting longer and even the sunshine itself is getting a bit stronger when out & about? It’s happening and will continue to make its presence known in the coming weeks & months which, for me, makes the final weeks of winter tolerable. We do have more cold & snow before the Sox home opener but knowing that sun will continue to awaken from the winter slumber goes a long way for my state of mind.

In the short term, we don’t have much snow & just a little cold–certainly nothing like this past weekend but temps tomorrow & again on Friday will average a little below normal, reaching the mid & upper 30s each day. After this past weekend, we’ve got this little dip in temps. Friday, clouds begin to arrive by afternoon, not from our next storm but rather a warm front and this front will send temps back into the 40s for both weekend days. Great for some spring skiing conditions.

In terms of our next big ticket item (read storm) that’s looking like the middle of next week. Another El Nino storm that loads up on moisture from the Gulf of Mexico then heads up the east coast. Too far away for specifics but plan on snow & rain in the Wednesday time-frame. More on this in the coming days.
