ROCKLAND, MASS. (WHDH) - Many people are speculating New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady will fight his four-game “Deflategate” suspension until the end.

The Boston Globe’s veteran sports writer Dan Shaughnessy is sure Brady and his lawyers will try a Hail Mary with the US Supreme Court.

“He’s so famous now, and so successful and so clutch, he’s all those things, he’s the all time alpha male, so this cuts him down a little bit, and he can’t want this, that’s why I’m sure he’ll fight it to the death,” Shaughnessy said.

While Shaughnessy thinks he will fight to the end, Rockland football player Brett Armstrong disagrees.

“I think he should just keep with the four game suspension and let Garoppolo will do his thing,” he said.

It now appears back-up quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo will have the big stage in the first four games of the 2016 season.

Players attending the Elite Football Academy in Hanover are disappointed, but are rooting for Garoppolo.

“It’s a great opportunity for Jimmy Garoppolo to step in, just like how Tom did when Bledsoe went out,” Julian Tarpey said.

Shaughnessy said it’s an ideal situation where the team can get a clean look at the new talent.
