LOS ANGELES (WHDH) - Adam Sandler finally came face-to-face with Max Kessler, his lookalike from Sharon.
Kessler says people have been stopping him for years because of his resemblance to the actor. When he saw the trailer for Sandler’s latest movie, “The Do-Over,” he was suprised to see Sandler playing a character with his exact name.
“Adam Sandler’s name was Max Kessler in the trailer,” said Kessler. “So at first I called my mom and was like, this is a joke. Somebody dubbed their script. There’s no way it’s my name.”
By coincidence, it was. Kessler shared a comparison picture of himself and Sandler on Reddit and his story went viral. From there, Sandler commented on Kessler’s Facebook profile and his Reddit post and invited him to the premiere for “The Do-Over” in Los Angeles.
Sandler and Kessler met on the red carpet, where Sandler called Kessler “a younger, sweeter better version of me.”
