MATTAPAN (WHDH) — Boston Police are investigating a shooting that happened on Blue Hill Avenue Tuesday afternoon.
The shooting happened at lunch time at the Hair It Is barbershop.
According to Boston Police, a 31-year-old man was killed in the shooting.
Police believe the shooting was targeted.
First responders found the man bleeding in an alley behind the barbershop.
Detectives fanned out to interview people in the area.
A home around the corner was cordoned off by police.
A source told 7News the victim had his child with him when he was shot.
A woman said people heard three shots.
A person inside the barbershop said a worker took the boy to an adjacent building after shots rang out.
