NEWTON, MASS. (WHDH) - Newton Police have located a missing Boston College student who missed graduation Monday morning.
Boston College senior Dana Morrissey, 23, was reported missing by her family after she did not show up for graduation. Morrissey’s parents said they became concerned because she was not answering her cellphone.
State Police said further investigation showed she was dropped off by an Uber driver at Bloomingdale’s on Route 9, near Hammond Pond, earlier Monday.
Newton Police found her safe Monday afternoon in a wooded area near a jogging trail behind the Temple Mishkan Tefila. State Police said she appeared to be medically fine and was walked out to EMS to be taken to the hospital for evaluation.
Police say the circumstances surrounding her disappearance are still unclear.
Dana Morrissey has been found safe. The Morrissey family and all law enforcement, wishes to thank everyone.
