WOBURN, Mass. (AP) — A man authorities say was driving an SUV that crashed through the front of a Massachusetts pizza restaurant, killing two and injuring seven faces arraignment.
Bradford Casler is scheduled to be arraigned Monday in Middlesex Super Court on two counts of motor vehicle homicide and operating a motor vehicle to endanger.
Prosecutors say the 55-year-old Newton man’s vehicle crossed an intersection and crashed through the front window of Sweet Tomatoes restaurant in Newton on March 1.
The victims were identified as 32-year-old Gregory Morin, of Newton, and 57-year-old Eleanor Miele, of Watertown.
Prosecutors have not said what led them to charge Casler.
Casler’s attorney has called the crash a “horrible tragedy,” and has said his client’s “health and physical condition could not have prevented such a tragic accident.”
