PLYMOUTH, MASS. (WHDH) - An excessive heat warning is in effect for several parts of eastern Massachusetts until 7 p.m. Sunday.

Impacted areas include Bristol and Plymouth counties.

Locations away from the immediate coast are the most directly impacted.

Heat index values will be up to 107 due to temperatures around 90 degrees and dewpoints in the mid-70s.

Take extra precautions if you work or spend time outside.

When possible, reschedule strenuous activities for the evening hours.
