BOSTON (WHDH) - Thursday was a dream come true for a 6-year-old Medford boy .
Giovanni is facing a life-threatening condition, and it has always been his dream to go to Walt Disney World.
On Thursday, Make-a-Wish Massachusetts and Rhode Island made that dream come true.
All of Giovanni’s favorite Disney characters were at Logan Airport Thursday to see him off in style.
“I’m kind of excited to go on the plane,” he said.
It will be a welcome break for the Maggiore family.
Giovanni has been in and out of the hospital since he was born with a life-threatening heart condition.
For one week, the only thing he has to worry about is what attraction to visit first.
Giovanni was treated to an Incredibles-theme party at the gate, attended by his favorite characters, who were actually American Airlines employees.
When asked what he is looking forward to most, he said, “Being with my family.”
