QUINCY, MASS. (WHDH) - The MBTA is trying to put a rumor about singer Adele to rest.
The rumor began with a Facebook post announcing the singer would be making a special appearance at the Quincy Center T stop Wednesday for a free show.
On Tuesday, the MBTA sent out a tweet, telling riders the post was a scam.
Adele will not be doing an impromptu performance at the station.
MBTA transit police ask others to spread the word.
