BOURNE, MASS. (WHDH) - A police officer and another person are recovering from injuries after an incident on Norris Road in Bourne.

Firefighters say a cruiser and a sedan were involved in a crash early on Monday morning.

According to police, the cruiser was traveling south on Norris Road at approximately 1:40 a.m. when it was struck by a 23-year-old Sagamore Beach woman driving a 2012 Nissan Altima.

Police say the woman was speeding and failed to stop for a stop sign.

Both the officer and the driver of the other vehicle suffered minor injuries and are expected to be okay.

The woman was cited for Operating to Endanger, Speeding, and Failure to Stop at a Stop Sign.

The crash is currently under investigation.
