EPPING, NH (WHDH) — Police have arrested three men in connection with an armed home break-in in Epping, New Hampshire Wednesday afternoon.

The incident happened off of Route 27.

The alleged victim said two men walked into his house looking for money. The victim said the men hit him over the head with the butt of a gun. He said he ran out of the house where an officer happened to be driving.

“They came in, pointed the gun at me, and then I reached for my firearm, and then they strong held me, and took it, they were two big gentlemen, and then they hit me in the head with a gun because I wouldn’t cooperate and then they held me in a choke hold and then I broke free and ran outside,” the alleged victim said.

The officer arrested those two men. Police then searched for a third man who had run away with a 9mm gun. That man was later arrested.

Police received a call from a concerned citizen about a suspicious person matching the description of the suspect. He was found hiding in a shed on another property.

At one point, schools in the area were also locked down.

Officers asked neighbors to stay inside. They believe the home was targeted and this was not a random incident.
