FALL RIVER, MASS. (WHDH) - Police put a Fall River High School into lockdown when a photo of a hand holding a gun with the caption, “Life at Durfee” spread around the school on Monday.

Police say a location stamp for B.M.C. Durfee High School on the photo, indicating it was taken on or close to school grounds.

Investigators say the student who created the image was not at the school.

Police tracked him down in another part of Fall River and said they found him with a BB gun. The 15-year-old was arrested.

Parents were upset when they went to pick up students after the lockdown, demanding the school get more security guards and take safety measures.

The school’s administrators say they plan to increase security at the high school.

Metal detectors and wands will be used as students enter.
