MANCHESTER, N.H. (WHDH) - A vigil was held Thursday for the woman who was shot and killed in Manchester, New Hampshire on year ago.
The vigil for 62-year-old Denise Robert was held at the Brookside Congregational Church. Loved ones who attended said they hope her killer will be found soon.
Robert, a long-time employee at the Union Leader newspaper, was killed while taking a walk. She was found shot near Ray Street on Aug. 30, 2015. Police said she suffered from a single gunshot wound but no arrests have ever been made.
Robert’s brother Tom Robert spoke at the vigil and thanked the community for their support.
“I am sure Denise is listening,” said Tom Robert. “You have her fratitude and you have our family’s gratitude.”
