LOWELL, MASS. (WHDH) - A Lowell High School teacher has resigned after reportedly having inappropriate communication with a former student.
School officials say they were notified of the allegations late last week, but did not elaborate on the nature of the apparent relationship.
“Late last week the school department was made aware of allegations involving inappropriate communication between a member of the Lowell High School faculty and a former student,” a note sent to parent said. “At this time, there is no indication of any allegations involving other students.”
The teacher was initially placed on administrative leave.
No additional details were immediately available.
