CHELSEA, MASS. (WHDH) - A 25-year-old Lynn man was arraigned in connection with a hit-and-run in Chelsea on Friday.

Police said they received a tip that Arnold Hernandez was driving a minivan when it struck 72-year-old Carol Donnelly in the crosswalk at Fourth Street and Broadway. Donnelly suffered a fractured wrist and bruised foot but she is expected to be OK.

“God was with me. That’s all I can say,” said Donnelly.

Hernandez claims he did not see Donnelly. His attorney Francisco Napolitano said he did not hear anything and did not feel his van strike her.

Police said they arrested Hernandez Saturday afternoon on an unrelated warrant. He was held on $2,000 bail.
