BOSTON (WHDH) - A Malden man was arrested Thursday for allegedly assaulting a man at the MBTA’s North Station Commuter Rail.

Officers on patrol at the station noticed a man, later identified as 48-year-old Stephen Fusco of Malden, with blood on his hands around 5:15 p.m.

Witnesses told officers Fusco had just assaulted another man. Officers quickly found the victim, who appeared to be suffering from head trauma.

The victim told officers Fusco struck him in the head with a brick. He was taken to a local hospital for lacerations.

Fusco was taken into custody and charged with assault and battery by means of a dangerous weapon.

According to police, Fusco admitted to the assault and told officers he didn’t appreciate the way the victim “looked” at him.

Fusco was arraigned Friday in Boston Municipal Court.
