ROCHESTER, N.H. (WHDH) - State Police have arrested a man accused of striking and killing a man on the highway on Tuesday.

Officials say two men — a man, Kenneth Long, 72 of Sanbornville, NH, and his son, Christopher Long, 52 of Sanbornville — were driving on Route 16 in Rochester when a gas grill fell out of their pickup truck.

Police say Kenneth Long attempted to retrieve the grill when he was struck by a 2015 Subaru station wagon driven by Eric Grabowski, 51 of Middleton, NH.

Long was pronounced dead at the scene.

Grabowski was arrested for driving under the influence.

Police say the crash remains under investigation.
