A man charged with a Cambridge bank robbery has been to linked to several other crimes in Massachusetts and New Hampshire.

Police said Matthew Temple robbed a bank in Central Square Monday and was arrested as he tried to flee on a Red Line train. Police in other communities said he is linked to crimes stretching back three months.

Temple was arrested in New Hampshire back in February after police said he robbed several homes in Dover and Portsmouth. Last week, Quincy Police said Temple was seen on surveillance camera robbing a bank in a grocery store on Friday. Two days before that, Temple was allegedly one of the two suspects who robbed a clothing boutique on Newbury Street in Boston.

Prosecutors said Temple tried to wrestle a gun from a police officer at the hospital he was brought to after a suicide attempt. Temple’s lawyer Sean Delay said if his client grabbed an officer’s gun, it was because he was trying to attempt suicide again.
