YORK, Maine (AP) — Police say a Massachusetts man drowned while swimming at Long Sands Beach in York, Maine.
Life guards, fire and volunteer ambulance service administered first aid to the man, who was pronounced dead at York Hospital.
York police identified the man as 42-year-old Kenneth Frank Lombardo Jr., of Woburn, Massachusetts.
First responders began fielding calls late Thursday afternoon. Police say the death remains under investigation.
