Police in Methuen are looking for the suspect behind a string of break-ins at some local businesses, including a pizzeria.

Chris Jarbeau, who owns Romano’s Pizza on Merrimack Street, said when he arrived at his restaurant Saturday morning, he found the front door smashed in. Jarbeau said the cash register was also destroyed and a safe full of money was missing.

Police were able to obtain video of the suspect, thanks to the security cameras inside Romano’s that were left recording overnight.

"He didn’t care, when he first came in he had a hat and mask on but he decided to take the hat and mask off and we got good pictures of his face," said Jarbeau.

Police said other businesses in Methuen were robbed the same night, including the Hampstead House restaurant, Elan Hair Studio, Monte Carlo Salon and the Rosario 1859 House. The suspect from Romano’s could possibly be behind the other robberies but the pizzeria is the only place that had security cameras rolling.
