If you have a quiet low key home and you are looking for a gentle, no-fuss companion kitty, then Bootsie would be perfect for you.

Bootsie is an independent 10-year-old gentleman, currently staying at the MSPCA-Nevins Farm Adoption Center. He enjoys being petted and having his chin scratched and would just love a family or person to call his own, with a warm bed to sleep in at night. Bootsie is one of the many cats featured as part of the MSPCA’s “Declare Your Love” senior cat adoptathon. The adoptathon, which runs throughout the first half of July, features senior cats (9-plus years and older) whose standard $75 adoption fee has been waived. MSPCA staffers hope the fee-waived promotion will shine a spotlight on the wonders of senior cats and move as many of them into wonderful and loving homes as possible.

Bootsie would prefer to live with adults with either no kids or quiet, respectful teens. He lived with a spaniel dog for a few months and could possibly share a home with a gentle dog. He might be OK with another mellow cat as long as they are introduced slowly.

Bootsie has very good manners and never jumps on tabletops and counters. He is an indoor kitty and loves to snooze on the couch, if you are looking for a low key cat Bootsie is your guy. Bootsie is in excellent health, is neutered and up to date on all of his shots. He will also be microchipped prior to moving into his new home.
