NASHUA, N.H (WHDH) - A karate teacher in Nashua, New Hampshire was arrested after police said he sexually assaulted a young student.
Police said Daniel Rogers, 31, sexually assaulted a 10-year-old girl who was a student of his at Eric Menard’s Martial Arts Academy. The alleged abuse happened earlier this month. Police said he also bit the girl on the neck.
Eric Menard said Rogers had been coming to his studio since he was 11 years old. He was then hired as an instructor. Menard said he was “shocked” to learn about Rogers’ arrest and immediately suspended him.
“It’s a nightmare,” said Menard.
Rogers ran off to avoid cameras while at home and family members refused to comment. He was released on personal recognizance and will be in court in the coming weeks.
