Nantucket Police have arrested a 31-year-old Bronx man for an alleged rape in 2013.
Jorge Adames-Garcia, 31, of Bronx, faces charges of kidnapping, rape and attempted murder, according to Nantucket Police.
Police say they caught a break in the case on Oct. 15 when State Police told them they received a DNA match on evidence recovered as part of the case.
Police say the suspect allegedly assaulted the victim in the parking lot of Surfisde Beach on Nantucket.
Adames-Garcia learned of the arrest warrant and turned himself into police on Thursday, according to police.
Adames-Garcia was arraigned on Thursday and ordered held without bail pending a Nov. 2 dangerousness hearing, according to police.
