BOSTON (WHDH) - After a bitter cold Friday, when temperatures struggled to get out of the teens, New England got ready to face a round of snow Saturday.

Crews loaded up their trucks in Chelsea at the massive salt pile so the roads could be treated Saturday morning when the snow is expected to move in. While this is not a significant snowfall, drivers are still urged to be careful due to slick roads and ice.

People working outside in the cold Friday dressed in layers and said moving around helped them keep warm.

“That bit of exercise gets your blood pumping, the extremities sweat. You actually start shedding clothing after awhile,”said Greg Ziomek, who was with a crew taking down a billboard in South Boston.
