NEWTON, MASS. (WHDH) - The Garden Remedies Medical Marijuana Dispensary will open in Newton on Tuesday, serving as the first of its kind in the Boston suburb.
The dispensary’s mission, per its website, is “to take the excruciating test of endurance a patient may be forced to go through every day, and change it to a life of comfort that is hopefully pain-and-symptom-free.”
The new facility, located at 697 Washington Street, will host a ribbon-cutting ceremony at 8:30 a.m. on Tuesday. Dr. Karen Munkacy, President and CEO of Garden Remedies, will cut the ribbon to initiate the opening.
Another doctor, Dr. Munkacy, will field questions about medical marijuana.
