New Hampshire Governor Maggie Hassan issued the following statement on the news that former Boston Mayor Thomas Menino passed away:
“Through decades of public service, Tom Menino was an effective and dedicated advocate for all of the people, families and communities in his city. His early support for marriage equality was just one example of his rich and lasting legacy. Mayor Menino will be missed by many throughout New England, and I join all of the people in our region in mourning his loss and sending our thoughts and prayers to his family and loved ones.”
