Blowing Rock, NC (WHDH) — Firefighters are working through the holiday as a serious wildfire is spreading concern in North Carolina.
Crews are working to protect more than fifty homes in the western part of the state.
The wildfire has charred over 900 acres so far.
55 homes are considered to be in danger and dozens more were evacuated yesterday.
Emergency crews say if the weather works in their favor they hope to have the wildfire under control by tomorrow.
