NORWOOD, MASS. (WHDH) - Police in Norwood say they arrested the same man twice in one night for breaking into houses.
Officers say they responded to a house on Silver St. at 2:30 a.m. after getting reports of a breaking and entering. Westwood Police, in the area, found the suspect’s vehicle and identified the suspect – Thomas Dimarzo, 33 of Norwood.
Dimarzo told officers he was sleepwalking when he broke into the home. He was arrested and charged with breaking and entering in addition to drug charges. He was then released after he made bail.
Not long after, the same police officer responded to a radio call of a suspicious man in a black hooded sweatshirt in the backyards of homes on Sycamore St. and Briarwood Dr. Officers investigated and heard reports of more attempted house breaks.
Dimarzo was found in the area a short time later in a black hooded sweatshirt and possessing cash and scratch tickets reported stolen from another home. He was placed under arrest for a second time and appeared in Dedham District Court Monday morning.
