The issue of leg room on planes could soon be headed to Capitol Hill.
New York Senator Chuck Schumer says the FAA should require airlines to have seat-size guidelines.
He says leg room on planes used to be 35 inches, but it has now shrunk to an average of 31.
Schumer plans to introduce a seat-size guideline amendment to an FAA bill pending in Congress right now.
A vote is expected next month.
