KEENE, N.Y. (AP) — New York State Police are asking for the public's help in finding a Massachusetts man who was last seen at a store in the Adirondacks a week ago.
Troopers say 46-year-old Scott Haworth of Chicopee, Mass., was at the Valley Grocery in the Essex County town of Keene last Thursday. Police say he hasn't been seen since then.
Troopers say Haworth is avid hiker who frequently goes out on solo excursions.
Police in Chicopee tell the Adirondack Daily Enterprise that Haworth's vehicle was found earlier this week at a trailhead into the Dix Mountain Wilderness. Officials say he was last seen in his hometown early on the morning of Aug. 25.
Anyone who has seen Haworth is asked to call the New York State Police in Ray Brook at 518- 897-2000.
