OAK BLUFFS, MASS. (WHDH) - Oak Bluffs police have arrested a man on cocaine distribution charges.

On Tuesday evening, police issued a search warrant for Everton G. Facey, formerly of Jamaica, for cocaine and proceeds relating to the distribution and sales of cocaine.

Police said Facey has been under investigation for the past several months.

When police pulled over Facey’s car, they escorted him out of his car, and several small plastic bags that contained a white powdery substance believed to be cocaine fell out of the car.

A search revealed 24 bags of the substance.

A search of Facey’s home revealed drug paraphernalia and packaging materials.

He has been charged with possession of a Class B substance with the intent to distribute.

He is being held on $5,000 bail and will appear in court Thursday.
