ROCKLAND, MASS. (WHDH) - A police officer was transported to the hospital following a police cruiser crash in Rockland on Wednesday.
Officials say the incident happened in the area of Beach Street and Industrial Drive
A Plymouth County Sheriff’s Deputy was responding with lights and sirens engaged when it struck a car that turned left in front of the responding vehicle.
Both the officer and the driver of the car involved were transported.
A medical helicopter was called to the scene but could not respond due to inclement weather.
A K-9 in the officer’s car was also transported to an animal hospital.
