BALTIMORE (WHDH) — State officials in Maryland said the bus driver involved in a fatal bus crash had an expired certification.
The transportation company that operated the school bus said they have a current medical certificate for the driver. Maryland’s Motor Vehicle Commission said their driver certification for the driver expired in August and they never received an updated one.
The driver, along with four other people, were killed when the school bus he was driving slammed into a commuter bus.
