WASHINGTON (WHDH) - House Speaker Paul Ryan, who hadn’t given full support of Trump during the election, spoke today strongly backing the new President Elect.
“This is the most incredible political feat I have seen in my lifetime,” said Ryan. “Donald Trump heard a voice out in our country that no one else heard. He connected with, he connected in ways and with people no one else did. He turned politics on its head. And now Donald Trump will lead a unified Republican government.”
Ryan said he is excited to make progress in Congress now, including repealing the Affordable Health Care Act.
