RICHMOND, Virginia (AP) — Vice President Mike Pence will no longer be speaking at a Saturday event hosted by a group backed by the conservative Koch (kohk) brothers.

Pence had been scheduled to address Americans for Prosperity in Richmond, Virginia. He has canceled in order to join President Donald Trump at Camp David Friday to discuss South Asia policy.

Pence is also returning early from a weeklong trip to Latin America in order to attend the Camp David meeting.

Americans for Prosperity is the flagship organization of the political network backed by industrialist billionaires Charles and David Koch. Pence had been scheduled to address a group of “grassroots volunteers.”

Pence’s Deputy Chief of Staff Jarrod Agen says Pence has canceled all of his weekend events in case follow-up meetings on Asia are needed.
