SOMERVILLE, MASS. (WHDH) - A plastic bag ban will begin in Somerville Thursday.
Supermarkets and other stores in the city are now prohibited from offering plastic bags to customers in checkout lines.
The ban takes effect for stores with more than 10,000 square feet of floor space.
