ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WHDH) — Two men playing Pokemon Go in Rochester, New York were able to get help for several ducklings that fell in a storm drain.
“I heard the baby ducks in the sewer drain so I went and checked it out and then I flagged down an officer and he got everyone out here,” said Jason Englerth.
The fire department was called and firefigters opened the grate and climbed into the drain to rescue the ducklings. It is believed the ducklings had been trapped for days.
Englerth believe the ducklings fell down the drain when trying to cross the street. Their mother is believed to have gotten hit by a car.
The ducklings were taken to an animal hospital, where they will undergo wildlife rehab before being released. Despite losing their mother, they are doing OK.
