FRANKLIN, MASS. (WHDH) - State Police are investigating a fatal crash that happened early Thursday morning in Franklin.
Around 6 a.m., police responded to reports of a single-car crash on Route 495 northbound, north of Exit 17.
Preliminary investigation shows a man was driving a 1997 Ford -15- pickup when, for reasons still under investigation, the truck went off the road and into the woods.
The driver was determined dead at the scene.
He has now been identified as Zachary Lemir, 23 of Warwick, Rhode Island.
The crash remains under investigation.
