The woman told police the 31-year-old driver told her to sit in the front seat. She said the driver asked her to kiss him, then touched her inappropriately and grabbed her arm. Police arrived in Norwood shortly after she arrived at her final destination but the driver had already left.

The driver was found and arrested later Saturday. He was charged with indecent assault and battery and accosting or annoying a person of the opposite sex.

Statement from Uber:

“No person should have to go through what’s been described. We’ve been in contact with the rider to offer our support and are working with State Police to aid their investigation. The driver has been banned from the platform.”
