Police report: Former Swampscott high school principal sent explicit messages in online sting

A new police report shows former Swampscott High School Principal Edward Rozmiarek was caught in an online sting.

The report says he allegedly sent sexually explicit messages to a person he believed was a 13-year-old girl in an online chat room. That person was a decoy.

According to a police report Rozmiarek asked the girl about her bra size, as well as other more graphic questions. Police say he told the girl he was 51 and a school principal, and they exchanged phone numbers and emails.

The report says the messages were sent over a one month period.

Rozmiarek resigned his principal position in December 2015 after allegations of inappropriate use of school computers.

Rozmiarek is not facing criminal charges at this time.
