A search for a black pickup truck is underway in Worcester Saturday.

Investigators said it took off with a woman clinging to the driver’s side window.

Surveillance photos showed a black pickup truck speeding out a BP gas station.

Worcester Police said the person behind the wheel is responsible for a hit and run that seriously injured a 31-year-old woman.

Police said the woman was speaking with the driver around 6:30 a.m. Saturday.

According to police, the truck took off speeding through the parking lot at some point while the woman was still clinging to the driver’s side window.

The truck took off and headed up High Street before the woman finally fell off in the middle of the street.

She was taken to a local hospital with a broken ankle, collapsed lung and minor brain bleeding.

Whether the woman knew the driver or what led to the truck speeding off is unknown.

Police have asked anyone with information to come forward.
