FALMOUTH, MASS. (WHDH) - Police are searching for the driver involved in a hit-and -run that left a pedestrian with serious injuries in Falmouth, between Nobska and Oyster Pond Roads, around 9:10 p.m. on Friday.

Officials say the pedestrian, a 24-year-old Falmouth man, was found in the road. The man was rushed to Falmouth Hospital with serious injuries. He was later transported to a Boston-area hospital for further treatment.

Authorities said the suspect fled the area. Officials believe that suspect may have been driving a 2013-2017  Buick Enclave.

Police provided an update around 4 p.m. Saturday that a rear bumper insert from the Buick Enclave was found at the scene. Officials also said the vehicle may have front-end or undercarriage damage
