MOUNT PLEASANT, SC (WHDH) — Dash cameras were rolling as police say a suspect managed to slip out of his handcuffs and take off with their cruiser.
The video shows the man drive onto the sidewalk to get away in South Carolina, on Friday, Nov. 10.
ABC News 4 reports Philip Sprouse was arrested by officers responding to reports of a suspicious car at an address in Mount Pleasant.
Sprousse was detained after officers found a gun inside his vehicle.
The video shows Sprousse driving away and escaping after crashing through fences and back yards.
Police recaptured Sprousse on November 12.
