INDEPENDENCE, Mo. (WHDH) — Police are searching for two people who allegedly beat a pregnant fast food manager because they were disappointed over an error in their order.
The attack happened at a Wendy’s in Independence, Missouri. Witnesses said the two angry customers dragged the 19-year-old through the drive-thru window and beat her in the parking lot. The customers were allegedly upset they did not get enough straws.
The woman was taken to the hospital with multiple injuries. She is now in critical condition.
“No parent should have to get that phone call that their child has been attacked,” said Heather Salcedo, the victim’s mother.
Police are now searching for the suspects. The Wendy’s manager is expected to make a full recovery.
