FAIRFIELD, Conn. (AP) — Fairfield University in Connecticut has received a $4 million donation from the sister of Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump.

Maryanne Trump Barry is a federal judge who sits on the 3rd U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals in Pennsylvania.

She said in a statement released by the Jesuit university on Wednesday that the gift is to express gratitude for the accomplishments of the Rev. Jeffrey P. von Arx, who is stepping down later this year after 12 years as Fairfield’s president. She cited in particular the founding of the Center for Ignatian Spirituality in 2014.

Barry, a 1958 graduate of Mount Holyoke College, is a longtime supporter Fairfield University. She received an honorary degree from the school in 2011.

Her gift will support scholarships and the spirituality center.
