The MLB trade deadline is nearing and in just a few short weeks we will have an idea what the Boston Red Sox will look like for the second half of the season.
In the past the Sox have made some surprising moves at the deadline including trading Nomar Garciaparra in 2004 and keeping Manny Ramirez in 2005.
This year the team has had one 10-game losing streak and have lost six of their last seven games.
But, Red Sox GM Ben Cherington says the team can win with the current roster.
“That’s not up to our standards and it’s my job to make it better,” Cherington said. “We believe it’s going to get better. We believe we have a very good team. We just have to get some guys back performing to a level they are accustomed.”
So we want to know: Should the Red Sox be sellers as the trade deadline approaches? Vote below in our poll and look for the results Wednesday night in 7News at 10 on CW56.
