BOSTON (WHDH) - Project Hope volunteers collected toys for hundreds of families in need across Boston this holiday season.
The volunteers said they handed out hope along with a toy and a book to children in need.
Families were able to choose gifts they knew their families members would love during the three day event held in Dorchester.
Project Hope serves more than 600 families every year. The organization also provides families access to adult education, job training, family child care and housing.
The event organizers said more than 500 children will now receive toys this Christmas.
