PLYMOUTH, MASS. (WHDH) - Protesters are outraged in Plymouth.

They took to the streets Friday, demanding Governor Charlie Baker shut down the Pilgrim Nuclear Reactor.

It comes after a confidential email surfaced, that revealed some alarming problems at the plant.

Activists say they received a confidential email from the Nuclear Regulatory Commission about their inspection of the plant, and say its findings are troubling.

The group claims the email reveals the plant failed to replace or repair mechanical equipment.

And managers and staff were “overwhelmed” operating the plant safely.

The NRC spent the past two weeks inspecting the plant and told activists they wont take any action until the inspection is complete.
