QUINCY, MASS. (WHDH) - Police in Quincy are searching for four people who broke into the decomissioned USS Salem on Oct. 9.

The ship is docked at 739 Washington St.

Police say four people broke into the ship and may have stolen some two-way radios and nearly $1,000 worth of props and handmade Halloween costumes after spending nearly two hours on board.

The suspects somehow shimmied themselves over a fence to break into the ship.

The ship has been nicknamed the Sea Witch, which it currently set up as a haunted ghost ship as a fundraiser for Halloween.

According to investigators, the suspects may not have realized there are surveillance cameras all over the ship.

It appears that all four are white males who are in their early 20s.

Per Quincy Police, a description of the suspects can be found below:

  • #1 suspect has brown/black hair, grey sweatshirt, dark pants, wearing a watch on left wrist and a bracelet on right.
  • #2 suspect has a shaved head, dark blue or black hooded sweatshirt and dark pants.
  • #3 suspect has brown hair, light sweatshirt, dark pants and possibly has facial hair.
  • #4 suspect light hooded sweatshirt, baseball cap, dark shorts.
