ARCOLA, ILLINOIS (WHDH) — An iconic American doll and her brother now have statues in their hometown.

On Friday, new statues of Raggedy Ann and her brother Andy were unveiled in Downtown Arcola, Illinois.  And dozens came out to see.

Raggedy Ann and Andy were patented by Johnny Gruelle in 1915.

Officials say, they think this new statue will bring in more tourists.

The Raggedy Ann committee helped raise about 65 thousand dollars for the new statue.

And they even had it painted in the familiar Raggedy Ann colors.
